Hear the Word, Mix It With Faith, and Act Upon It

-Week 1-Day 7

"..but the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith (with the leaning of the entire personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) by those who heard it." Hebrews 4:2 Amplified Bible

Today review the 'work' you've done this week. Review what grabbed your attention in your daily reading, how He led you to pray, and any 'instructions' He gave you. 

It is so easy, especially in the busyness of life, to learn so much that you can't remember a thing. And if we can't 'remember', how will we 'act upon it'. 

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against the house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock." Matthew 7:24,25

Built up in His love and in faith in His enabling power, may we be 'effectual doers', not 'forgetful hearers' (James 1:25).

"On the day I called, You answered me;

You made me bold with strength in my soul." Psalm 138:3
