Let us obey God just because He asks- not because it makes any sense, not because we necessarily want to do what He
asks (though He will then be “at work in you, both to will and to work for His
good pleasure”), not
because someone else couldn’t do it better (maybe they could, but if He’s
asking you, then He is asking you and not them), not because we feel like we have the time….or for any other reason- just
in obedience to our Master, at His bidding.
“[Not
in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in
you- energizing and creating in you the power and desire- both to will and to
work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. Do all things without grumbling and
faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among
yourselves]. That you may show
yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children
of God without blemish (faultless, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and
wicked generation- [spiritually] perverted and perverse. Among whom you are seen as bright lights-
stars or beacons shining out clearly – in the [dark] world; Holding out [to it] and offering [to all men]
the Word of Life…” Philippians 2:13-16a
Amplified
What is He asking you to do through His Word?
What has He put on your
heart?
Will you trust Him and obey?
Trusting that His will is good and pleasing and acceptable and certainly
what is best for you and those around you?
Will you do what He says?
Let Him SHINE through you.
